Health Smart Grants
We've launched our new Health Smart Grants!
We've redesigned our Community Grants program to offer our new Health Smart Grants which focus on partnering with Australian Charities that empower Aussie youth and young adults to make smarter health choices.
In Australia, only 41% of adults have the health literacy levels needed to make positive and informed health choices.
It's why we seek to support health-focused charities which work to improve the health literacy of Aussies as we believe that through improved health literacy, people will have the information and skills they need to adopt healthy behaviours and positive lifestyle choices.
Our Health Smart Grants are an annual intiative seeking to find six charity partners to share in a pool of $320,000 p.a.

Since 2009, nib foundation has established partnerships with 18 charities to support widely accessible and innovative health promotion and primary prevention initiatives that encourage Australians to adopt healthy lifestyle habits.
Applications to this program is by invitation only. Multi-Year Partnerships are normally identified proactively, and on an ad hoc basis as a vacancy in this program becomes available.
In 2017 five new partnerships were approved as part of the Multi-Year Partnerships program. As such, we do not plan to seek new Multi-Year partners in the coming year.

Pitch for a Healthy Cause
In October 2018, nib foundation celebrated our 10th year of giving and to mark this major milestone, we held a special grant round Pitch for a Healthy Cause. Three Hunter-based charities were selected to pitch for their share of $100,000 in support of their commitment to improving health and wellbeing outcomes for vulnerable people and communities.
