Our grant program helps nib employees support good causes

nib employees have chosen the five Good Causes closest to their hearts to support as part of our 2017 Good Cause Grants initiative.

The annual grant program, jointly run by nib and nib foundation, offers employees the opportunity to nominate and vote for their choice of charity to receive a $5,000 grant.

The nominated charities, located across Australia and New Zealand, provide crucial support for those most in need and help raise awareness of the health issues that impact our communities.

From 23 nominated charities across the nib Group, we received almost 400 votes to decide the final five recipients. We are proud to announce our 2017 Good Cause Grant recipients:

LIVIN’ - destroying the stigma attached to mental illness and spreading the word that #ItAintWeakToSpeak.

Hunter Medical Research Institute - supporting vital cancer research.

Heartfelt - a network of volunteer photographers who provide the gift of photographic memories to families of stillborn babies and seriously ill children.

Beyondblue - helping all Australians achieve their best possible mental health, whatever their age and wherever they live.

Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand - committed to improving the quality of life for patients and their families living with leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and related blood conditions through research and fundraising.

It’s great to see our employees championing the causes important to them and we are proud to be able to support them in helping their charities make a different in our communities.
