Helping care for carers in Western Sydney

nib foundation is pleased to support a unique volunteer camp being held in Western Sydney to support volunteers of people living with HIV/AIDS this weekend.

Caring for carers is a vital, yet at times underfunded service in many communities.

We're pleased to support one such program in Western Sydney that provides invaluable support to volunteer carers of people living with HIV/AIDS through a unique two-night camp.

Almost 20 volunteer carers took part in the weekend camp which allowed The Western Suburbs Haven to give something back to their volunteers and also better equip them to undertake their role.

Participants took part in a range of team building activities, as well as refresher training and education on changes and updates on HIV/ AIDS that will better equip them to undertake their vital role
