nib foundation funding boosts to tackle key health challenges facing youth and carers

Health and wellbeing projects across Australia have been given a much-needed funding injection with today's announcement of our support of 10 new charity partners as part of our 2017 community grant program.

The worthy grant recipients will receive a share in almost $300,000 to deliver grassroots programs that are addressing an area of need within their own community.

The chosen charity partners share our common focus of delivering unique initiatives that tackle the health challenges facing vulnerable youth and carers today.

The selected partners will use the funding towards delivering targeted and age appropriate health prevention and intervention programs for vulnerable and at-risk individuals to improve their physical, mental and social health and wellbeing.

Through participation in these programs, youth and carers will be given the opportunity to learn how to use innovative technology, nature's playground and reliable health information and education to help address their personal health challenges.

Now in our ninth year of giving, the foundation has committed almost $16 million in grant funding to more than 105 partners across Australia.
