nib nominated as finalist for 2016 Hunter Business Awards

Back

nib health funds has been nominated as a finalist in the Contribution to the Region category for this year's Hunter Business Awards, in recognition of the work nib foundation delivers in the Hunter community through its commitment to local charity partners.

To date, 54% of all projects funded by nib foundation have been either locally based, or large scale state or national health initiatives with a presence in the Hunter region. Financially, this Hunter specific commitment is now upwards of $11 million in grants.

nib and our foundation were born in the Hunter, which is something we are very proud of and as such we remain committed to giving back to the region that has contributed so much to our success.

Through the work of our foundation, we have seen some great local capacity generated from grassroots groups supported via the Community Grants program. Recent partnerships have included Tantrum Youth Arts, OzHarvest, Cooks Hill Surf Life Saving Club and Disabled Surfers Hunter Branch. More information about the amazing work achieved by these charity partners and many more can be found here

We are honoured to be recognised as a finalist by the region's business community. Winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Friday, 5 August.
