Epilepsy Action Australia
Newcastle Hunter Epilepsy Program
Epilepsy Action Australia (EAA) offers vital and often life-saving support to an estimated 500,000 people who will be affected by epilepsy in their lifetime. Its team of registered nurses, educators and case workers assist those with epilepsy and their families accept and adjust to a diagnosis of the condition.
The establishment of the Newcastle Hunter Epilepsy Program has provided families and carers in the region access to community-based epilepsy education, training and intervention. The program includes memory workshops, education and training, access to an epilepsy nurse educator and a weekend residential camp.
